  Crosswords on the garment
  project leader: Nancy Martin

I’ve created a line of funny and functional outfits, starting from the analysis of my personal needs and pointing out some keywords that represent them. I’ve designed garments using these words as if they were elements of the puzzle hiding inside other elements. The whole of the elements becomes the fabric.

  Prodotto in scena
  project leader: Future Concept Lab

Milan - one of the capitals of fashion - provides great opportunities of interaction, not just local or elitist, but also global and differentiated. The Castello Sforzesco becomes the setting of the event of territorial and globalised communication I’ve planned. The main actor-product presents itself under the spotlights. The result is the elimination of the surroundings and the absolute mergence of fashion as protagonist.

  Converge
  project leader: Salomon

Small pieces enriched with a technological touch in order to build up a virtual look for a young and urban target. The protective function is combined with a versatile combination of other garments. Elements such as hoods and slevees, pieces covering specific parts of the body... everything converges into a look strictly related to necessity and abstraction.

La Matta, a strategic re-branding campaign
   project leader: La Matta

The project proposes for La Matta a visually driven image campaign with an emphasis on subliminal branding. This includes the creation of a multi-media campaign and a retail store concept that will ensure a unified presentation of the brand in the market place at a higher positioning level.

  Face plus
  project leader: Daniela Puppa

My idea is to represent through a fashion project the face, considered as the icon of human imagery, the part of our body where feelings, sensations and emotions emerge. The objective is to elaborate the mutations of the face through the definition of materials (fabrics, softness, shapes...) and the study of volumes, exalting their meaning.

  La superficie contemporanea:
  dall'architettura alla moda
  project leader: Mario Sorbo

Contemporary architecture gives a lot of importance to the surface with characteristics such as transparency, lightness, juxtaposition and print. These same elements have been objects of research by many fashion designers. My project combines the two disciplines in order to create a spring/summer collection for the year 2003, in which the parallelism between architecture and fashion can be recognised and appreciated through the study of the surface.

  Alpenflug
  project leader: La Mattao

Outfits mainly made of leather, treated as if it were fabric. Details of the swiss traditional costume and shapes coming from aviation clothing are combined with tailoring to create a new style concept. Appreciation of the detail and tolerance towards the banal: these are the value of my garments. Flying over the Alps, discovering a little country called Switzerland and meeting an authentic seductress.

  Poly-hybridization
  project leader: Salomon

Hybridization is a contemporary concept that I have used to create an innovative collection for Salomon. Poly-hybridization is a project mixing elements taken from the body, the energy, the snowboard and the street worlds and then applying them on shoes and garments in a summer collection for teenagers.

  Geografia del corpo umano
  project leader: Nanni Strada

I took inspiration from the geography of the human body: the subtle lines of fingerprints, of hand palm, the transparency of veins, nerves and muscles. I have transferred this image on a gauze and I have traced the lines with silk yarns and strings.

  Future stem
  project leader: Neil Barrett

With peace there could be a spiritual and quiet future. Life could be even more satisfying, exploiting the advantages of extreme technology. My collection comes from this need of technological spirituality combining the drapings of monks clothes with futuristic details.

  Pieces of memory
  project leader: Neil Barrett

A new interpretation of the past: the styles of the cinema actresses from the '30s to the '90s become contemporary styles. Starting from an analysis of the culture, design and arts and how they influenced fashion in those years, I have created a collection of garments which is strongly connected to the past. The key words to describe it are: functionality, intelligence and essentiality.

Una nuova forma per la memoria
  project leader: Nancy Martin

Next to me there are my old dress, the curtain and the napkin... I have always used them, I am linked to them for affection and for the memories they recall. This is why they remain near me in spite of the fact that they are not precious. Starting from this idea, I have worked on them in order to create a new appearance. Memory is now reproposed with a new value.
