SWEET DREAMS

  Chameleon

We limit our use of a room to the type and size of furniture we put in it. My idea is to design a toy/piece of furniture that allows a multitude of possibilities by morphing itself into a number of shapes: a bed, a chaise longue, a two-seater sofa…
This object takes inspiration by the chameleon, an animal that relies on its skin to describe its mood.

  Tetriz

Flexibility, lightness, modularity: these are the main characteristics for the bed Tetriz. A “monolith” at first glance, entirely made of expanded polypropylene (material which is nowadays used in the packing sector) which makes out of lightness, its greatest quality, so much that it can modify the configuration without effort.
Play with Tetriz and adapt it to your daily needs: from couch to bench, bunk or double bed.

  Rescue Remedy

As capitalism becomes more predominantly embedded in contemporary society, the quality of life begins to subdue. The majority of the world’s population is packed in confined space high-rises of urban cities. Consequently, Rescue Remedy is the revolutionary resolution that helps differentiate private quarter within public space as well as maximizing the use of confined space to its optimal capacity.

  B+

The blanket is a very important element in the scenario of the bed, for the concept of relax. It is a simple object without which we do not get any feeling of comfort.
B+ is a set of five blankets able to satisfy our needs when we sleep or simply when we lay down: there is a shirt version to put our arms in, a trouser version to put our legs in, a version with a light, one with a hole in order to breath, one with adjustable elastics to wrap in it.

  Ikea-magic box

Magic box is a modular sleeping system for children, which self contains a foldable bed, soft cushioned modular objects, which can be used in different ways, and a folding working area. The project deals with the problem that within the house there is not much space for the children to play in. Therefore, when the bed is folded we create a bigger space in which the child is free to create his playing area. The cushioned objects are meant to enthusiast the child’s imagination and encourage him to play and create his own environment.

  Nid CLOS

Everyone needs his own personal place in this stressed, impersonal world. Nid CLOS is a sleeping space that provides you with a nest feeling: warmth, intimacy, cosiness, privacy. A cocoon that shields us from the outside world, a peaceful, quiet place where one can rest, sleep, play, make love, relax. This nest is transformable so it becomes a resting area for children, singles and couples.

  Icon's gone mad

The structure of the bed does not have such an important function, but it has survived in time, becoming a universal icon. This is a bed-icon to play with and to surprise.
I have taken three directions to develop this project: playing with the material of the structure, playing with the icon in its three dimensions, adding to the structure the objects living around the bed.

  Sfera

I have thought about sleeping on a cloud, on the water.
I have designed an object which wraps you, takes care of you, massages you.
All this is Sfera, a soft surface that wraps you while you sleep (mattress) while you relax (pillow), while you move in your house (rag).
The surface is in latex, made of a lot of spheres, of which five are different in terms of size, density and they have a cotton cover.

  Caracol

When we dream we visit thousands of worlds, when we are awake we live thousands of lives: we are always nomads. Caracol is a transformable and portable object. It is also a bed/chaise to wrap up, with three seating positions, chaise-longue and bed. If you don’t have enough space in your house, Caracol can be a bed for your guests and a place where you can relax. Its simple and round shape reminds us of a toy.

  Not selfish in bed

Not selfish in bed is a stackable mattress dispenser for occasional visitors staying over. It helps those living in apartments with neither guest rooms nor space for spare beds. The concept draws its reference from the tale of The Princess And The Pea, thus transposing fiction into fact. Rather than re-inventing new forms for the bed, its archetype has been preserved by retaining the bed frame and the mattress. Subsequently, the dualities and significations associated with beds were explored to re-examine its meanings.

  Rolling Paper

Starting from the basic ideas of IKEA’s bed Design (being environmental friendly, low cost yet durable, lightweight and easy to be carried around), Rolling Paper is a flexible sheet, made out of recycle paper tubes, which performs various functions: a bed, a cozy seat, a working desk, a play area. This product comes together with a detachable package that can be used as a part of its functions.

  Surface: non wasted

‘Bed: a piece of furniture on or in which to lie and sleep. A place for sleeping’: this is the dictionary meaning for the word bed, which clearly puts down this piece of furniture as a single function object. However, it is possible to rejuvenate the common understanding of the bed by noticing the lack of daytime use of it. Through the use of certain elements, such as a bed cover, backrests, and some accessories, the bed can be transformed into a comfortable, all-purpose surface, which will transform the bedroom into a multi-functional area of the house. A beneficial solution for the people living in single-room apartments.

  Noah

Sleeping is a natural need.
When we sleep, we are alone, exactly as when we are born or when we die.
Sleep is a very important moment to look inside ourselves. Noah wraps you in a warm and soft embrace to make you have a beautiful dream. It’s our sole companion in the world of dreams.
