Coccinelle: una supply chain più efficace
project leader: Coccinelle e Daniela Puppa

The management of the supply chain has become a strategic lever. Companies are pointing to faster product supply and services, more economical and more effective than their competitors’. The Fashion System has these priorities, too. Coccinelle has the opportunity of ameliorating its supply chain (relation with suppliers, demand forecast, integration with retailers, more flexibility in the production) in order to obtain a competitive advantage.

  Inside on outside
  project leader: Maurizio Pecoraro

Breaking an order, combing perfect and imperfect, with intentional irregularity... Inside on outside, deconstruction and reconstruction of garments, changing direction.
Irregular cuts, collage of details coming from traditional men’s wear combined with details of lingerie. A collection of accessories all shaped around the same source of inspiration.
(I start from an abstract to create a fresh image of beauty.)

  Intimate Layers
  project leader: Nanni Strada

A collection of garments for the relax to wear in a domestic context (home), inspired by the Wabi-Sabi: the Japanese aesthetic of the hidden beauty of things, the beauty of imperfect and temporary things, of humble and unusual things.
Four main themes Organic, Rust, Flakes and Atmospheres characterise, together with a research on materials, the whole collection made not just by garments, but also by objects-containers, decorative panels, plaids, outfits for the “home-spa”.

  Global Shaman
project leader: RIRI e Victor Bellaish

My idea is based on the concept of fashion globalisation. I’ve tried to represent the bubble containing the contrast between the intuition and the imponderability of the invention, in order to get to a unique concept of contemporaneity.

  Extensive Warmth
project leader: Nokia e Future Concept Lab

By using clothing as an expressive medium, my work aims at emphasizing the importance of closeness amongst humans. It deals with gesture as a way of communicating feelings of affection, which create links on a personal level with the potential of growing into a social scale. The gesture is extended from the body to the garments. This generosity is elaborated into the form they take. The memory of this gesture is permeated on the garment and carried by the wearer wherever they may be.

  Decostruction of Garments/
  Percorso verso l'identità
  project leader: Neil Barret e
  Stefano Guerriero

Two are the starting ideas of my project: the deconstruction of garments of Belgian and Japanese designers on one side and the work of the Iranian artist Shirin Neshat with her ideas of images and her vision of arabic women on the other.
The final collection of garments keeps a special eye both on the cut of garments (construction-deconstruction) and on volumes using materials that contrast for weight and colors

Guys are dying to be part of movement
project leader: ISA e Mario Sorbo

Inspired by the style of the Mods, who as all youth movements attached a lot of importance to the accessory, I have designed a man winter collection and a woman collection, made of basic outfits acquiring a unique and special aspect thanks to a series of ties, scarves, belts and applications. The main theme is knitting, alone or mixed with other fabrics.

  Death and Decostruction
project leader: La Matta e Neil Barret

A concept derived from the film Bonnie and Clyde. The collection offers pieces with each creation expressing unique emotions and desires. Capturing fragments of periods, shreds of elegance and moments of history. Special emphasis has been placed on working into the fabrics. Delicate fabrics that are torn, ripped and slashed. Stitching details with flaws and faults and delicate imperfections, giving a unique and “hand-made” touch to the garments. It is a collection of pieces that offers the consumer different styles and looks. A look for differing personalities.

  L'armonia della vita:
  un susseguirsi di movimenti naturali
  project leader: Anna Gemma Lascari

Birth, growth, death...the continuous cycle of life always goes back to a new beginning.
Our world is a complex network of existences, stories, destinies in which I have decided to highlight a common interpreting key. Taking inspiration from philosophy and from the methodology of Antonio Gaudí, I have searched for shapes able to synthesise aesthetic and functionality together, looking for the zenith of beauty and for the most profound meanings. The secret of existence, the continuity of life: a message filled with hope in a moment marked by uncertainty and fear.

"... The house is a machine for living in ..."

project leader: Coccinelle e Daniela Puppa

The Modernist Movement in architecture was the result of a number of pioneering architects who created a ‘new style’ that they believed responded to changing social needs. Twelve Principles of this Movement were derived as a core of common ideas. Through comprehensive research, the variable requirements of work wear accessories for women were investigated, and how these needs could be incorporated into Design using the concept of the Twelve Principles.

  Sposa Nomade
  project leader: Anna Gemma Lascari

Special garments for the ceremony of marriage.
The design is personal, practical, moving as the life of the nomads.
The style of the nomads is similar to the technique of the patchwork.
The idea is to dress the spouses with harmonious clothes, designed just for them.
After the ceremony, the clothes will be kept in a functional bag.

In my project the zipper is not just used to open/close, but also as a revealing element of a secret part, hidden in ourselves.
Thanks to the zipper, we can protect our most profound intimacy, together with out secrets.

  Sharing Cocoons
project leader: Nokia e Future Concept Lab

We live in a world of chaos at the moment. When it is a period of clashes, people tend to gather in groups, in terms of family, nationality, culture, to enhance the force and to ensure one’s identity. These form of groups, I call Cocoon. The term Cocooning exists in many Design fields. However, further open mind is needed to step on to the next level, which is to share the cocoons. It is a protection without restriction, to value the surroundings around you, whether it is space or people.

  Galleria di reminescenze
  project leader: Roberto Buratti

Galleries are full of paintings, but what is the difference between a painting and a garment? While paintings have a wooden frame, garments are built on a human frame. From the idea of a human gallery, I have created a collection in which the materials ad the traditional patterns are re-interpreted in a free and more modern way.

  Delicare Armor
project leader: RIRI e Victor Bellaish

Tenderness under the armour. The ancient element is combined with the modern one and the cold medieval armour warms up with a touch of femininity. The bright iron has been replaced by warm wool. Vintage leather expresses the nostalgia and the historical pathway, at the basis of the product. The shapes are vaguely resembling those of the chivalry period, but with an emphasis on the feminine need of comfort, freedom and sensuality.
