Colorado Games is investigating innovative ways for experimenting and creating the next generation of entertainment products based on the crossing of digital media and movie/show business world. On one side the focus is on the creation of an entertainment/game model based on the formats, rhythms, language and characters of the show business and movie world. On the other side the focus is on the potentiality of light, distributed and integrated media (mobile, web, MMS etc.) in favouring the crossing and overlapping of reality and fiction.
Framework
The spread of digital media has deeply impacted existing lifestyles and entertainment attitudes. Two opposite trends are leading the media consumption: the nesting as the phenomenon of cocooning into domestic environments, from one side; wireless and mobile access to media (everywhere and anyway), from the other side.
These considerations suggest - as the most innovative and promising perspective - to focus the project on the creation of new models of entertainment based on the mix of light media (web, mobile phones, radio, TV…), on narrative structures, contents and characters taken from the world of TV and movies, on models of relationships that take advantage from cooperation and sharing.

Attilavirus is a phone based system of entertainment using the metaphor of contamination to enable a game based on progressive levels of difficulty. The game is based on Attila himself and in particular to his language which is his strongest feature. When the user is infected he will have to withstand some challenges posed by Attila. The more the user learns and plays with it, the more he gets control and ability to pass and shape the virus for his enjoyment.

  Olmo Couture

Olmo Couture is an entertainment experience created around the TV character and his fashion world, based on an interactive magazine, where participants contribute to its contents by performing dares. Triggers, hints and gadgets are given for free with every issue to enable participation. A selection of the data submitted will be voted online by anyone visiting the website and eventually the best material will get published in the following issue.

  Attila Game

Attila Game is a mobile phone game based on the original movie Attila with Diego Abatantuono. The game is composed by two levels: Baby Attila and Movie Attila.
The first level of the mobile phone game Attila consists in growing up Baby Attila by feeding him, by teaching him the barbarian language and the basic behaviours of a real barbarian leader. The second level objective is to create a personal movie that, following the original plot, allows the player to modify and integrate it with real life images and audio dubbings.

  Olmo's Circle

Olmo's Circle is a society game enhanced by phone, based on the features coming from the surreal world that's around a famous Italian TV character, Olmo. The main goal of the project is to add strength to the classical game modalities and settings, exploiting game dynamics by using the communication potentialities of the mobile phone. The society game becomes a support to perform activities that change time to time.

Databisio is a phone based instant messenger with an entertainment purpose, that adds advanced features for communication, at the way of Claudio Bisio. It uses the typical behaviours of the character to mediate and enrich the normal, and sometimes boring, ways of communication through mobile phone.
A Bisio-like add-on for the cellular phone activates the advanced features.
