“Our water alters; baths, showers & sinks are nothing but mere drought pedestals. A disinfected nothingness to which, today, we attribute the name water”. Franco La Cecla, anthropologist
We need to once again feel at ease with running water. Reconsider it as a trustworthy source, where one can immerge, unwind and perceive the lightness of being; quoting from Giacomo Leopardi; “being shipwrecked is agreeable in such waters”: planned for pleasure, there is no other place like the bathroom where to intensify multi-sensorial levels.
Seemingly futuristic machinery these latest box showers, one might suspect that you need a patent to work the ultra jets, vapours, controls, radio, TV, aromatherapy, chromotherapy, sun lamp and in-built gyms offered.
Bathroom crescendo must become a deeply integrated aspect of domestic life. It is to be a considerate open-space, receptive to the most filtered values. Not only visual or classical but tactile and aromatised, an ensemble of balancing stimuli for our 5 senses. Open-perception in a lingering co-existence with reality, a refined location where light, surroundings, sounds and essence rest to help us live yet another memory.

asix is a new interface for the bathroom, a space, a place to relax and have privacy: the surfaces are made of points able to stimulate a multi sensorial experience. Every surface in Basix has a function: rain, daylight, air, massage and control.

  Orbit

The current concept of bath space is more focused on the point of well being, and not just on satisfying daily basic cleaning needs. But, because of convenience and time saving, we are more used to taking showers than baths.
Orbit is a convertible cleaning object in the bathroom. It is both a bathtub and a shower, depending on its orientation.

  Ciky Piky

Starting from the concept of flexibility, I focused on the design of a bathtub for Teuco that could change the spatial configuration of the object just extracting some pieces from a fixed volume, to obtain different empty spaces. The project is targeted on kids, who often don’t like taking a bath, defining itself as a multisensorial playground, to be used even when it’s not time to have a bath, playing on and with a series of objects filling the bathtub.

  360°

The 360 degree is a development of the most successful Teuco products. Searching on the kinetic motion of the bathing body, I created a product that allows you to have daily shower and to soak the ritual to take a bath with someone special or even with several other people. The whole unit is made of transparent acrylic so space has an unprecedented 360 degree view when showering and can see through the tub unit when bathing.

  Magik Tube

Magik tub is a bath-tub targeting “cool modern mothers” with kids from 2 to 8 years old, offering them a fun and original product that will finally motivate kids to take their daily bath. Its functionality also has a strong pedagogical aspect, as it stimulates their memory and their capability to associate elements. This multifaceted and environmentally friendly product recreates a surreal and magical world where kids learn and play while getting washed!

  Hidden

All the typologies of showers are the same and they focus on user’s behaviors instead of the relationship between user and environment. The aim of Hidden is saving space. Hidden is a shower system that is hidden on the bathroom’s wall, so the user sees the shower only when he’s using it: this allows to gain some space when the system is off.

Enlightening by the intense sense of water, the design combines "shower head" and "gourd ladle". The appearance is extremely neat and simple while the internal adopts modern shower head principles, mimicking the old time water utensil and enjoying modern technology at the same time.

  Vortice

Vortice is a new approach to the culture of bathing. It changes the concept of using water to cleanse the body; instead, it uses high pressure air combined with molecules of water and ozone creating the perfect mixture for disinfecting and cleaning deeply. It also works as a powerful tool to eliminate odours and air impurities in the atmosphere of the home. .

  Pop-up

Modern bathrooms and showers are nothing but arid monuments to science, unable to give us any relaxing emotion. We have to rediscover the primitive sensuality of the body’s relationship with running water. Using the pop-up techniques, it is possible to realize very flexible, appealing, strong structure: Pop-up is a shower designed to reproduce the wonderful effects of waterfalls.

  Blow-up

I wanted to create a special space made by a floating floor system. This system has a drying device under it. It blows hot air which comes out from the holes on the floor to make the environment warmer and to avoid the wet floor. Thanks to an air compressor, the air creates an inflatable bathtub and an inflatable seat. The idea is to have a free space when bathtub and seat are not in use and a special space for having bath when they are inflated.
